Women's Self-Defense: Non-Lethal Tactics

This class prepares women to avoid situations that lead to physical attacks and, if attacked, to protect themselves using non-lethal tactics.

In reality, there are only two situations that we need to be prepared to handle: (1) ambush, when we are suddenly attacked by a stranger and (2) arguments, when emotions get out of control and lead to violence. This class addresses both, by stressing the importance of situational awareness, sensitivity to behavior that leads to confrontation, and use of non-lethal defensive tactics if attacked.

So, our first goal is to PREVENT an attack from ever occurring. And, our second goal is to be able to RESPOND and STOP an attack using non-lethal tactics.

Be sure to wear comforable gear (t-shirt, jeans, slacks, gym shoes), like what you would wear to an exercise class. There will be coffee & bananas in the morning, and a salad for lunch. If you need more than that, bring it along.

Invite a friend, learn a lot, have fun!
